Eurovision 2023 - Liverpool

The Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

A team of 16 Costume specialists were on site creating a wide range of bespoke costumes for stage performers, leading acts for the interval shows and supporting delegate countries. Alicya Sinclair as Co-Cutter with Caroline Muffin we're both responsible for bringing the designs to life through skilled pattern cutting, draping and creation. Working alongside industry legend, Tahra Zafar for the second time in 12 months. Tahra is well known for creating creature costumes for the likes of Harry Potter, Star Wars & X-Men and the Commonwealth Games 2022. Costume Designer legend, Michael Sharp known for designing the Take That concerts, Dancing On Ice, The Olympic & Paralympic Shows. The stunning outfits created by Alicya and the team were on show for the duration of the Eurovision Song contest. From the Quarter finals all the way to the Grand Finale interval shows. Liverpool was honoured to host the contest on behalf of the 2022 Winners Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra. Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine and the safety of all Eurovision fans and performers the UK offered to host the event. here in Liverpool.


And what a fantastic job we did as a nation, the combined elements of Ukrainian culture and interval acts, alongside elements of Liverpool’s musical history the event was a huge success, and we hope we did Ukraine proud.


The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual internationally televised songwriting competition, organised by the European Broadcasting Union and featuring participants chosen by EBU member broadcasters representing their countries from across Europe and beyond.
